Company History

OpenBOX Technologies, a customer-driven company, was founded on a single principle: that mid-market companies will thrive if empowered with the right database tools and training. President and CEO, David Baeder has over 15 years of experience in the design and development of software and databases.

In December of 1989, he founded Business Link International (BLI) in an effort to leverage technologies that provide e-messaging services to organizations. The core nature of BLI required extensive use of databases and web services. BLI leveraged technology to allow customers extensive access and controls to back office systems. These same tools would provide the catalyst for Open Business Object Exchange, or what is known today as OpenBOX.

OpenBOX Technologies specifically addresses enterprise solutions including CRM. OpenBOX Technologies customers consist of SMB as well as large enterprises in various industries.

The OpenBOX “departmental solution” approach enables large corporations to function as efficiently as smaller mid-market companies.

  • 2007 OpenBOX Technologies releases its v9.0 Application Platform based on Microsoft’s .NET framework.
  • 2006 OpenBOX Technologies, through its sister company, Business Link International (BLI), adds transactional fax, survey and voice broadcasting services to WebLaunch solutions line.

  • 1998 Founder David Baeder received US Patent 5706342 “Method and apparatus for Off-Hook Detection.” Ability of fax machines and other devices to attach to public payphones.
  • 1997 DataLink expands operation with hosted database management services.
  • 1995 RPC (publicly traded holding company in Atlanta, GA) funds $5MM and creates RPC DataLink.
  • 1994 Business Link International wins contract to supply Fax network to Ameritech, Bell South, GTE, and PACBell.

.NET Database Solutions Developer

Skilled and self-motivated professional who works in a customer-facing environment to develop both internal and customer applications. Strong technical knowledge of software applications utilizing the Microsoft .NET framework, their deployment in various operating system environments, database design and web applications technologies required. Occasional travel, up to 25%, may be required as needed to satisfy client needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop and maintain database applications for customer-specific projects.
  • Implement features defined in functional specifications.
  • Communicate with the customer regarding customer needs and project progress.
  • Integrate disparate software systems to share data.
  • Participate in testing and QA of final customer projects
  • Provide technical and project leadership to team members Skills and Abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High motivation and consistent work ethic
  • Ability to analyze complex customer technical issues and walk through potential solutions.
  • Ability to mentor junior programmers and act as a team lead Preferred Education.
  • BSCS or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skillset

  • Familiarity with Windows Operating system
  • Demonstrated ability in relational database design and database management.
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Demonstrated ability in ASP Application Development
  • Demonstrated ability in the .NET Framework and ASP.Net, as well as either C# or VB.Net
  • Demonstrated ability to define, estimate, plan and execute software development projects.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and/or DB2 or other RDBMS desirable, but not required

Responsibilities:

Generate qualified demos, and appointments for Outside Sales Reps with a focus on HEAVY outbound telesales activity, email and written follow up. Generate new leads by researching companies to establish new prospects. Track leads and follow our sales methodology to deliver sales results.

Qualifications:

Outstanding phone, email, writing and customer service skills. Two years of proven prospecting, lead generation, and new business development experience. Ability to multi task and work under pressure. Software service sales experience preferred.
